Apple iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max do not display all applications at 120 Hz

Apple iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max

The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max have Apple’s ProMotion displays, which means they support a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

This feature has been on the iPad Pro since 2017, but this is the first time Apple has offered this feature on the iPhone. It turns out that many third-party applications can not exceed the standard refresh rate of 60 Hz on the ProMotion iPhone 13 Pro screen. Apple has clarified that it will soon provide documentation for developers on how to change the situation. In addition, future software updates will resolve the error when animations created with Core Animation failed to reach the maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz.
