Research: the most popular emojis of 2021

Global Emoji Trend Report 2021 is Adobe’s annual survey of the most popular emojis.

The company surveyed 7,000 people from the United States, Great Britain, Germany, France, Japan, Australia, and South Korea. This was reported by Telegraph. design.

55% of respondents are more comfortable expressing their feelings with the help of emojis than just talking on the phone.
TOP-5 most popular emojis: 😂, 👍🏻, ❤️, 😘, 😢.
TOP-3 best emojis during flirting: 😘, 🥰, 😍. TOP-3 worst emojis for flirting: 🍆, 🍑, 🤪.
89% said that emojis helps to overcome language barriers.
Top 5 categories in which users want more emoji: emotions/feelings, relationships, food/drinks, animals and nature, objects.
63% of Generation Z say they use emoji with their meaning, not what it really means.
75% of users believe that it is perfectly normal to send the only emoji as a quick response.
88% of people show more empathy for people who use emojis.

Most of our communication takes place in the digital sphere when we do not see facial expressions, gestures, do not hear the voice. I believe that we react more emotionally to images, and therefore with the help of emojis, you can understand people’s emotions, hear them, understand their gestures more than can be expressed with words.
