Samsung officially presented the new Galaxy A23 5G smartphone. The model received support for operation in fifth-generation networks.
The smartphone is available in configurations with 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB of RAM, and the amount of internal memory can range from 64 GB to 128 GB. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset, which has become an improved Snapdragon 690 (with a 15 percent more powerful processor and 30 percent more powerful graphics adapter), is responsible for the smartphone.
We will remind you that the model was presented together with the Snapdragon 680, which is used in the budget Samsung Galaxy A23 4G. Both chipsets are manufactured using TSMC’s 6-nanometer process, but the Snapdragon 695 hardware platform is several generations newer.
The new Samsung Galaxy A23 5G received an IPS display with a diagonal of 6.6 inches and FullHD+ resolution. It has a refresh rate of 90 Hz and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The smartphone is equipped with an Infinity-V display that uses an 8 MP front camera. It should be noted that the display characteristics of the 5G version of the Galaxy A23 have not yet been officially confirmed by Samsung, but this should happen in the near future.
The smartphone’s main camera has remained unchanged – it uses a 50 MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and optical image stabilization. In addition, there is an ultra-wide module of 5 MP with an aperture of f/2.2., as well as two modules of 2 MP – a macro and a depth sensor. A 5,000 mAh battery is responsible for the autonomy of the smartphone, and it supports fast charging with a power of 25W.
We remind you that there are no official details about the Samsung Galaxy A23 5G yet, but it is expected that the smartphone will be presented in the European and Indian markets. It is worth recalling that last year’s model, the Samsung Galaxy A22 5G, cost 230 euros, but this year’s Samsung Galaxy A22 4G turned out to be more expensive, so we should expect an even higher price from its 5G version (most likely, around 300 euros).
