If you notice that your smartphone has started to slow down more and more, there are a few simple ways to fix it.
They are suitable for devices running the Android operating system. Most often, the author points out, “hanging” Android-smartphone can be eliminated quite easily. For example, by cleaning the system. About this and other methods – below.
Reboot. This is the first thing you need to do when you notice that your phone has started to slow down. The fact is that during the long work in running programs accumulate a lot of background processes. You can clean them by rebooting.
Disable animations, live wallpapers, and system widgets. Due to the work of these elements, the gadget can really slow down. They also affect the autonomy of the device: the smartphone discharges faster. You can change the wallpaper with your finger in a free place on the screen. You can also disable widgets in the window.
Clear cache and application data. It all takes up a lot of system memory. As a result, the device may not work as fast. To clear the data, find the required program in the “Settings”, select “About the program” / “Memory usage”, and then – “Delete data” or “Clear cache”.
Uninstall programs and use light versions. If you do not use a program at all, it is better to remove it: it will clear the device’s memory and allow it to run faster. In addition, manufacturers sometimes offer users several versions of programs, including a light version. It can also be used, but it will have some limitations on functionality.
Disable Google services. In fact, many Google services may simply take up memory and not be used. For example, Google Assistant starts to slow down on older devices. The author advises disabling it: you can do this through the settings in your Google account. Other similar programs include a numeric keypad, search widget, and voice input.
Android and app updates. The fact is that updates tend to fix various bugs that occurred in previous versions of the operating system. The same goes for different programs.
Reset to factory settings. This should be done as a last resort if nothing else has helped. As a result, all data stored in the smartphone’s memory will be lost. Therefore, you need to save all the necessary information in advance.
