Tattoo: what creams to use after tattooing for healing?

Taking care of a tattoo and implementing the correct treatment procedure after it is done is essential, especially in the first hours and days following its execution.

It is important to carefully follow the steps of good care, both to avoid any type of infection and to determine how the tattoo will look over time. If the tattoo is poorly maintained, it will appear faded and dull.

HOW TO CARE FOR A TATTOO

The part that we have decided to tattoo, as soon as the operation is finished, will be inflamed and the tattoo artist will clean and sterilize the affected area, and then apply a soothing cream, covering the area with a bandage or a waterproof protective film. . The next steps that we will have to carry out on our own include:

During the first 2-4 hours after leaving the study, do not remove the protection. After the prescribed hours, after washing your hands, you can remove the bandage, and cleanse the treated area with warm water and neutral soap to remove any residual sweat or blood.
Gently dry with a paper towel, apply a thin layer of soothing cream, and if possible leave the tattoo in contact with the air to encourage the formation of the scab.

In the event of unavoidable exposure to dirty areas in unclean workplaces or environments, always protect with a light layer of soothing cream and apply a paper towel without making it adhere too much. Use the same system to avoid excessively soiling sheets and pillows during the night.

In the morning cleanse with warm water, apply a thin layer of soothing cream, and you can take a shower. It is important to take the necessary precautions to ensure that the outer layer of the skin heals in the best possible way, remaining healthy and intact over time. If the epidermis is tried and not properly treated, the appearance of the tattoo will be affected in return. After healing, the epidermis must be kept hydrated and healthy while also protecting the tattoo from the sun with appropriate protective creams.
