“If you feel healthy and comfortable in your body, it significantly affects your ability to enter into a close relationship with someone,” said Marcus Insider. “It does not mean that you need to be thin.”

Although there is no precise definition of a healthy diet, experts believe that adding more fiber, fruits, and vegetables to the menu, enjoying food, and not relying on supplements – is a great way to improve your sex life through food.

Fiber will help you feel light and prevent bloating.

Fiber, a carbohydrate of plant origin, is not considered particularly sexual. However, this is a key element for the bedroom.

Fiber-rich foods such as whole grains (whole grain bread, oatmeal, bulgur), legumes (chickpeas), and greens (chard, spinach) will help maintain energy levels by controlling blood sugar levels. In addition, they curb appetite, which is very important because hunger or overeating distract from intimacy.

“If you eat enough fiber, you feel better, there is no feeling of overeating, but you don’t want to bite off someone’s hand,” says Marcus. “Think of it as a charge for the digestive system to make the bodywork better.”

In addition, fiber will help prevent bloating, which can spoil the whole mood.

“Let’s talk about the completely non-sexual: fiber will help with constipation,” says Marcus.

Add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet.

Fruits and vegetables are rich in fiber, vitamins, minerals, and other micronutrients, they are perfect for a sex-positive diet.

According to Dr. Premal Patel, erectile function is positively affected by the Mediterranean diet, which is rich in greens, colorful vegetables, and fruits that contain many antioxidants, such as berries and grapes. For example, Marcus, she says, loves to eat a good steak for dinner, but after that, she feels too tired for sex.

“Focus on what you like. Make a list of dishes that make you happy, but at the same time give satiety and well-being,” – advises Marcus.

However, you should not eat less, because at the right time you will need energy.

“If you reduce the amount of food, you will be tired and hungry, and there will be no mood for sex,” explains Marcus.

There is no magic product or supplement for good sex.

There are many pills, powders, and aphrodisiac products that promise a passionate sex life, but Marcus and Patel agree that none of them will be particularly effective for most people.

“I often do not recommend taking supplements because I believe that people get enough nutrients from food, and supplements will not bring much effect,” says Patel.

As for herbal or chemical mixtures, there is no evidence that their effect is worth the money. In addition, they can be dangerous: the scope of food supplements is poorly regulated, so you can not say exactly what you take.

Instead, focus on what best suits your unique needs. The key to good sex, health, and confidence in your body, and these concepts are different for everyone.

“To say that there is one diet that suits everyone is the same as saying that there is only one way to have sex. It’s nonsense,” Marcus concludes. “The more you learn about yourself and your reactions, the better.”
