To accomplish this, you can use the technique of instant relaxation – intentionally tense the whole body, starting with the toes and ending with the head area, and then instantly release the tension. It is an effective way of self-awareness of muscles and quick relief from stress in the body, which helps to get rid of negative emotions and tension.
Massage
Studies show that massage is effective in reducing stress, but it is not necessary to go to the spa – you can do it yourself right now. Self-massage of the feet, head, neck, or shoulders reduces the level of cortisol, the stress hormone, strengthens the immune system, and increases the level of good mood hormones – oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin. If you wish, you can even use a tennis ball or a bottle of cold water on your feet or neck. Also, try massaging pressure points, such as the membrane between your thumb and forefinger or the inside of your wrist.
