What you need to know about covering up tattoos

There are those who tattoo the name of a love that they believe is eternal and then repent, those who decide to do a tattoo for fashion and after a few years, they no longer want it.

What to do in these cases? Don’t panic, because cover-up tattoos can be remedied.

Cover up tattoos: what they are

The tattoo cover-up covers a tattoo that you no longer want to have on your skin. It is, therefore, a cover for something that no longer pleases. This type of tattoo is increasingly used also because, very often, we let ourselves be guided by enthusiasm or the latest trends by choosing to make tattoos that we no longer want. The cover-up is a tattoo that must, therefore, be well studied and that must be done by a professional able to work on a basis that already exists. It is not always simple and that is why professionalism is needed.

A first reason must immediately be explained: there is no overlap between colors. Those of the existing tattoo and those of the new tattoo are going to mix and therefore it is important that everything is done in the best possible way because the risk is to end up with a final result that is not at all what was hoped for. All this requires study. The perfect solution must be studied upstream, understanding what is the result you want to achieve and how to do it. Cover-up tattoos are, therefore, difficult to make but not impossible if you choose a good tattooer who is used to doing this type of work.

How do the tattoo cover-ups

The first stage is the design of the tattoo. You have to study the tattoo to be covered and also the subject you want to reproduce. The subject of the tattoo should no longer be chosen at random, but should also always be studied, however, taking into consideration what there is to cover. The lines, the outlines, the colors must be defined: it is a meticulous study that must be done with due attention and with all possible caution.

After passing this first phase, it will then be necessary to decide with the tattoo artist how many sessions to carry out the work. Yes, because very large tattoos require more days of work, while smaller ones take less. The end result, if everything goes as stated, should be highly satisfying and that is why cover-up tattoos are considered much more often than laser removal.

If you like the material, tell your friends about it. Thank you!
