According to the Gizmochina portal, WhatsApp engineers have launched an upgrade to the iPhone messenger with capabilities for calls to 32 people and an overhauled UI. Previously, WhatsApp users could have up to eight people in a group call.
In the redesigned group call interface, talking members are now highlighted, and “sound waves” are displayed next to their profile. Voice messages, contact data displays, and groups have all been redesigned in the current version of WhatsApp. Users also have access to some media assets in the gallery. The updated version of the messenger is already available for download on the App Store. A similar upgrade is also coming for Android users.
